VIP 2004 |

The day was sunny and
beautiful and the crowd, after the 12-noon opening,
brought chairs and blankets and sat all afternoon to
enjoy the wonderful and varied international
performances and the many art contributions.
This year we were fortunate to have Angelo Romano’s
angel art surround the Bandshell while many panels
of the Ribbon International Art covered the police
barricades to create a beautiful path. The Kraft Searcher
embroidered 36 yards of quilted pieces from all over
the world stitched together as a symbol of peace Also
His Holiness Professor Lin Yun, created a special
calligraphy banner dedicated exclusively for the Bandshell’s
peace event. To top it all, flags from all over the
world were displayed in multiple stands and the children
from China, with their twirling hankies, jumped off
stage to invite all children in the Park to join them
in their peaceful dance. |
